• Compressed file formatable (fix or variable), for transfer in heterogeneous networks.
• Conversion of record/file formats.

• extended conversion on ASCII systems, each record can be converted on field level (character string, numeric fields, packed numbers, binary numbers)
• Exits/Interfaces for SIRON®, ESR®, CFS® and ARCIS®.
• Direct read access of records within a compressed file.
• Protection of the compressed data with a new encryption method (optional).
• JAVA-GUI for Win32 and UNIX.

^X-PRESS  is especially suited for the interchange between different operating systems, such as z/OS (MVS), VSE, BS2000/OSD, OpenVMS, most UNIX® derivates and Win32 systems.

^X-PRESS  can be appointed as 'stand-alone' package or as pre- and post processor. On mainframes it can additionally be used as a call exit.
