Data Analysis Software - Prepare and protect big data
Faster data manipulation, with or without Hadoop
Data Analysis Software – Can you scan, analyze, and protect your data this easily?
To leverage Big Data, you must first process it. Hadoop distributions and specialized software cannot efficiently capture, classify, or transform all the data you need, nor can they properly prepare it (e.g., validate, clean, mask, audit). However, the IRI Voracity platform, powered by IRI CoSort or Hadoop Big Data manipulation engines, can. Voracity combines data discovery, integration, migration, governance, and analytics into a single, familiar user interface built on Eclipse™.
Process, protect, and provide
Use Voracity to Raw data sources integrate with HDFS or your normal Linux, Unix, or Windows file system, extend, and transform. Mask, encrypt, pseudonymize, de-ID, hash, tokenize, etc., your data as you transform and deliver it. Prepare data faster, especially for Big Data analysis tools, to enable deeper insights that go beyond traditional BI/analytics tools. Generate test data, design custom statistical reports, or feed BIRT, R, KNIME, or Splunk in-memory.
The power you need
Choose between processing multithreaded file systems in the proven IRI CoSort Engine or run the same jobs in MR2, Spark, Spark Stream, Storm, or Tez on HDFS. Manipulate large volumes of data with the same Eclipse™ job design and managed metadata infrastructure, preparing them for advanced Big Data analytics tools. These tools enable you to gain deep insights from your data and perform complex analyses.
Different types of data
Voracity users work with the whole world of big and small data. This means sources and destinations residing in structured, semi-structured, and unstructured formats within files and databases, whether on-premises or in the cloud. Harness Voracity to blend all your data and explore it with advanced big data analytics tools. These tools enable you to gain deeper insights, discover, mask, and cleanse data to ensure reliability and compliance.
Holistic insight
Create, run, and manage your data discovery, integration, migration, governance, and analytics tasks in your chosen design modes… all within the same, free, graphical Eclipse™ IDE for Voracity., IRI Workbench. Sharing, version control, backing up, and executing jobs from the GUI, batch scripts, applications, or distributed computing environments like Hadoop for increased speed and scalability.
Surprisingly affordable
Your ability to process large amounts of data no longer requires a large budget for hardware, software, or an army of Hadoop geeks. The Voracity Data Management Platform From IRI, a single hand can quickly process large amounts of private and public data… all at low subscription or perpetual use prices that SME and cost-conscious enterprise CFOs prefer.
The Great Data Advantages and Bona Fides of Voracity
For more than forty years, IRI has been the proven production partners for the preparation and presentation of massive, multiple data sources across industries, regions, and Unix/Windows platforms. Find out what you need:
an affordable product, the IRI Voracity platform, which discovers, integrates, migrates, manages, and analyzes data, all in all:
a simple place, a free Eclipse-GUI, which a simple 4GL supported, and
an I/O pass, which combines data transformation, protection, and reporting.
Here's what's possible with Voracity:
Big Data Processing – integraten (search, capture, connect, etc.), enrich (clean, convert, calculate, etc.) and transform (filter, sort, aggregate, etc.) in HDFS or with your file system.
Big Data Protection – mask, encrypt, pseudonymize, de-ID, Hashing, tokenize, etc. from data, as you transform and provide it.
Big data provision – Mass charge with pre-sorted data, creation of Replicas and federated Views, Preparation Data blending and munging for BI/analytics tools, report writing, feeds BIRT or Index Splunk direct or creation of large Test data. The data warehouse expert Barry Devlin calls Voracity a process analytics platform...experienced You why.
Voracity and all constituent IRI products use the same self-documenting 4GL program from IRI CoSort called SortCL for data definition, manipulation, masking, and reporting.
Consistently design and manage your jobs across a variety of user interfaces. Share, version control, back up, and run jobs in Eclipse, or integrate them into batch scripts, applications, or distributed computing environments like Hadoop for increased speed and scalability.

Did you know?
- Voracity uses CoSort or Hadoop engines, and CoSort pre-sorts big data in Hadoop, with the technology dating back to 1978 is in development? IRI has been using the term „Big Data“ since 2004 in CoSort applications in Telco CDR Data Warehousing projects on multi-core or distributed hardware, and long before that in other industry transaction files (banks and government agencies).
- CoSort, typically used for data transformation, staging, and reporting, can also do what spin-offs do: data migration (IRI NextForm), data masking (IRI FieldShield) and test data generation (IRI RowGen).
- IRI Voracity uses the same metadata and Eclipse™ GUI (IRI Workbench) CoSort and its spin-offs also enable you to design and plan jobs with the latest ETL workflow and integrated automation tools.
- Voracity users can view their HDFS files and contents in the IRI Workbench GUI, transfer data to and from HDFS, and automatically convert their transformation and masking job scripts (and batch flows). Execution in the file system or in HDFS can be controlled or scheduled as needed within the same GUI where you design and manage your jobs and metadata.
