Big Data as a Service

Voracity DLCM in the 2nd Cloud Generation

You won't find a faster and more affordable BDaaS solution than this!
Announcement of IRI Voracity Big Data Software and Services on Oracle Gen 2 Cloud

Large datasets, popularly known as Big Data, are difficult to manage with traditional computing technologies... Organizations find it difficult to effectively implement these Big Data technologies due to a lack of available expertise, for example.

The combination of big data technologies and cloud computing platforms has led to the emergence of a new technology category called „Big Data as a Service“ or BDaaS. Consider the possibilities of a best-of-breed platform for managing big data on the next-generation cloud service. This is IRI BDaaS.

IRI has been active in the Big Data world since the company's founding in 1978. Today, the many „Product Analytics Platform“Options in IRI Voracity – from integrated BI, data wrangling, to direct feeds into KNIME and Splunk – the increased flexibility and adaptability that both data scientists and decision-makers require to harness the enormous informational value of Big Data. See the links in this section for a better understanding of what Voracity can do.

In the 2020 IRI BDaaS offering, Voracity provides the data management (discovery, integration, migration, governance) and analytics considered in the diagram above. The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) offers flexible compute and storage shapes that are managed through a single console.

IRI and Oracle SLAs guarantee availability, manageability, and performance, allowing you to run jobs quickly and reliably from over 30 global regions. They all share the same cost-effective structure, the same green (solar-powered) mandate, and meet international data security standards and privacy laws.

Both OCI and Voracity also support Hadoop- Implementations in MapReduce 2, Spark, Spark Stream, Storm, or Tez Jobs to be executed. For example, Cloudera clusters and EDH features in this way used in OCI and Voracity connects in this way with Cloudera.

This BDaaS framework also supports: the ability to quickly spin up elastic, highly available Hadoop clusters, Oracle Cloud SQL for querying large data sources, and the easy extension of on-premises work to the cloud.

However, if you use a different Cloud Service Provider (CSP), it is also possible to run IRI BDaaS. Several companies are already running Voracity-powered IRI CoSort or FieldShield jobs on AWS and Azure.

If you are not willing to provide these services or this Self-serviceTo manage job design options, expert services are available to you.

On a turnkey OCI operating stack, or one built in your CSP environment, custom services from IRI or its partners are deployed across a wide range of use cases including PII anonymization, IoT aggregation, data warehouse ETL, data vault prototyping, data lake population, and machine learning.
