Create profile and prepare for integration
All functionalities listed below are provided by software and solutions within the IRI Data Management Suite and the IRI Voracity Data management platform supporting data discovery, integration (ETL), migration, management, and analytics.
Note: DTP refers to the „Data Tools Platform“ plugin and the Data Source Explorer, which connects to, reveals, and interacts with your RDB sources. DTP is included in the free IRI Workbench IDE included, which is based on Eclipse™ and is delivered with all IRI software products.

Analyze data structures, keys, and listed domains in tables and files within the IRI Workbench GUI for Voracity. The workbench includes Eclipse DTP and robust IRI assistants for ER Diagramming, Database (DB) Profiling, Flat-File Profiling, Metadata Discovery and Dark Data Discovery for unstructured text sources. For example, use the DB Profiler to generate selected column statistics, search for patterns and fuzzy value matches, and check referential integrity, or create entity-relationship models and diagrams for each connected DB schema. Submit validation rules to identify column value anomalies and out-of-range data before performing data integration, quality assurance, masking, or test data operations in Voracity. Use the professional services or Partner by IRI to identify, isolate, and address actionable data, master data, and risk data across the entire organization. |

Data Modeling & Classification |
Use the free ER diagram wizard in the IRI Workbench, to visualize relational, star, and other data warehouse schemas. Use CoSort SortCL-Programs in Voracity for switching between schemas (e.g., relational vs. star). Define and manage enterprise-wide Data Class Libraries and apply it Transformation and Shield Field Rules to multiple sources at the same time. |

Definition of Metadata |
Use the Metadata Discovery Assistants, to display structured data in the preview and fields in the DDF format (IRI standard "Data Definition File") automatically. Use the Dark Data Discovery Wizard, to report on metadata in unstructured documents and to define the DDF layouts for the structured files it creates based on pattern-matching values in those documents. Use tools for automatic Metadata Conversion („2DDF“) to create DDF forms, DDL, file structures, and metadata structures from third-party providers. Use Erwin Mapping Manager or MIMB, to create reusable DDF metadata repositories for IRI tasks based on metadata you already have from third-party BI, CRM, DB, ETL, and modeling tools. Import existing DDFs and create DDFs via direct scripting, GUI form editors, or during source-to-target mapping. Management of DDF versions, lineage, and security in EGit, etc. |

Identify existing transaction and reference data. Use the MDM Data Standardization Assistants, to identify, standardize, and store master data. Create composite data values as new template data types in SortCL. Create in RowGen composite forms for master test data. |
