Challenges

There is an inherent data compatibility problem between different endian Architectures.

Binary numbers and multibyte character data from „big-endian“ computers, like mainframes, are not processed correctly on „little-endian“ computers, like a Windows PC, and vice versa.

Different CPU architectures assign different byte orders to resident data. This can lead to incompatibilities in data recognition and processing.
