Voracity Job Design

Does your platform have 6 options?

Through its graphical workbench IDE, based on Eclipse®, the IRI Voracity® product offers more job design and development capabilities than any other tool!

To Design, Execute and Manage IRI Voracity-Orders for:

  • Large Data Warehouse ETL or ELT
  • Data/DB migration or replication
  • Improving data quality or data unification/MDM
  • VLDB unload, external transformations, reorganizations, or loads
  • static data masking or synthetic test data generation
  • Reporting or Federation

Can you choose whether to work in and between six recurring job design modes, all contained within the same Eclipse GUI, IRI Workbench:

  1. Syntax-aware script or form editors with dynamic outlines
  2. Purpose-driven assistants for creating new jobs (script generation)
  3. Helpful graphical dialogs and form editors for changing parameters
  4. The modern Sirius workflow and mapping diagram palette (see below)
  5. The Erwin (formerly AnalytiX DS) Mapping Manager for tabular mappings*
  6. A Java API to feed or consume Voracity job metadata from your applications

After your data and job metadata have been modeled in EMF, changes you make in one of the surfaces will be reflected in another surface, allowing you to use and switch between any of the Voracity job styles!

And if you have database, Java, or MapReduce code, or Python-, Perl, or other shell scripts develop and/or execute, remember that you are in Eclipse! This means that SQL Design and Execution Features, multiple text editors, WickedShell and other plugins for R, CDT, etc. are available in the same glass pane.

Batch Transform Mapping and ETL Workflows in IRI Workbench, built on Eclipse.™

Use Erwin Mapping Manager with Voracity to build XML ETL flowcode in the cloud and import it directly into IRI Workbench for immediate use. IRI software is more tightly coupled for ETL and test data usage with Erwin metadata automation technology than with any other ETL provider. This compatibility also means that the conversion of Alten ETL tool mappings in Voracity also happens more or less automatically!
