FACT uses simple job scripts (supported in a familiar Eclipse GUI) to quickly create portable flat files. FACT's speed is based on native connection protocols and proprietary split-query logic that unloads billions of rows in minutes.
Although FACT is a standalone and application-independent utility, it can also cooperate well with other programs and platforms. Thus, FACT optionally generates metadata for data definition files (.DDF) with which IRI CoSort and its compatible data management and protection tools can manipulate flat files. FACT also automatically creates database load configuration files for the same source.
FACT is also an optional and seamlessly integrated component of the IRI Voracity ETL and data management platform:
Automatic metadata creation – and the coexistence of other IRI software in the same IDE – facilitates the specification and combinatorial execution of immediate or downstream data transformation, protection, reporting, and (pre-sorted) loading operations.
