CoSort GUI
Working with online data sources
Data sources and destinations
The IRI Workbench GUI supports the capture and population of unstructured, semi-structured and structured data sets; see this list.
For database sources, there are two basic ways to move data in the Workbench:
- IRI Fast Extract (FACT) and bulk DB loader (e.g. SQL*Loader, bcp)
and - ODBC
SQL procedures, Java applications and shell programs are also supported. CoSort GUI users can integrate, stage, transform, protect and report on relational data stored in Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SAP, MySQL, Sybase and other databases.
The Workbench uses the Eclipse Data Tools Platform (DTP) to display and select tables and columns:
The left "Data Source Explorer" pane shows the DTP view of the database using JDBC. The middle pane displays the contents of the selected table, and the right pane is the Data Definition File (DDF) form editor, with which the Metadataspecifications of the table for a CoSort SortCLjob can be modified.
