Data Masking for PII and PHI: SSN, CCN, NIDs, and More
Data masking
When using IRI FieldShield in IRI Workbench, you can select from standard data masks for specific fields like credit card and social security numbers, or various other National ID (NID) formats. You can also define your own custom masking characters and digit offsets to mask entire fields or just parts of them.
Remember that masking data this way makes the results unrecoverable, as there are no underlying encoding details available after the data has been masked.
