NextForm GUI

Inside the IRI Workbench, based on Eclipse™

IRI NextForm® and its Eclipse-based GUI will help you to:

  • Recognize from data, layouts, and relationships in file, database, and unstructured document sources
  • Convert of data types, record layouts, file formats, and endian status between flat and MF COBOL index files
  • Migration from split data, layouts, and relationships (constraints) between databases
  • Structure data which you search for in unstructured text files so that you can edit them.
  • Data from one or more sources into similar or different table or file destinations replicate or copy
  • Consolidation or virtualization from data by creating ad-hoc views from different sources
  • Data from one or more sources evaluate or filtered handovers for BI tools

NextForm uses the power of the IRI CoSort Sort Control Language (SortCL) and its metadata for data definition files (DDF) to manage these manipulations across a range of platforms and business requirements.

Data and job definitions, as well as processing and execution, can occur:

  • on the command line
  • within batch scripts
  • within application programs
  • in SQL procedures (through custom in-situ encryption routines)
  • in IRI Workbench - the GUI for NextForm et al for DBAs and compliance teams

Since NextForm is in the IRI Workbench frontend, you can use job scripts with:

  • Tools for metadata detection, conversion, and search
  • Helpful Job Assistants
  • a dynamic job description linked to GUI dialogs.

For those who prefer scripting for job design and modification, a syntax-aware editor is available.
