Voracity Platforms and Pricing
Low cost, low risk. High efficiency, high returns.
Platforms
The graphical user interface (GUI) of Voracity, IRI Workbench, runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Built on Eclipse™, IRI Workbench uses an integrated or available JRE. The Amazon and Azure platforms support bare-metal and VM instances of Voracity, and PaaS solutions for OCI are in development.
The default backend file executable in Voracity (the CoSort program SortCL) runs with or without the IRI Workbench GUI on all Windows, Linux, and Unix systems listed below. Mainframe and cloud data can still be processed with the GUI connection (client) to your host (server). A cloud version for Amazon and Azure services is under development. The Hadoop version von Voracity runs on compatible Linux variants (see below).
Windows
Voracity runs on Windows XP, 7-10, Server 2000-22.
Linux
Voracity on Linux runs on 32-bit and 64-bit Intel x86 and Itanium hardware. It is certified for Oracle Linux 7 and 8, is Red Hat Ready (for RHEL6-8), and has been declared Novell YES! for SUSELinux SLES10-15. Container versions are also available.
The CoSort for Linux backend in Voracity also runs on other chipsets. Since IBM is Chiphopper certified, it runs on Linux platforms, including: IBM eServer x, i p, and zSeries (mainframes). Additional Linux ports include SLES (SuSE) 8-11 and the IBM POWER 5-7 chips, as well as other variants such as AsianUX, CentOS, Debian, Fedora Core, Gentoo, Mandrake, and Ubuntu.

Virtual Machine
Voracity runs on virtual machines via VMware, IBM KVM (PureSystems), Oracle Virtual Box (OVB), and similar environments that support the operating systems listed above.
Voracity's pricing tiers are simple and affordable. You can license the platform as operating expense (OpEx) in a 1-year or discounted 5-year subscription, or for perpetual use as capital expense (CapEx). Subscriptions for the Voracity-Basisplattform include Support.
The tiered annual prices cover small departments to global enterprises and start in the low five figures. Uniquely, Voracity's pricing only based on the number of hostnames on which the executable file to process data, whether on-premises or in the cloud. Costs outside the US and Canada, especially due to VAR Partner, which offer local services, can vary.
Prices
Unlimited users
Unlimited Cores
We don't care how big or small your hardware resources are, where they are deployed, or if they are updated.
Standard Support
We are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The manufacturer IRI is available from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, and 24/7 service is also possible (though rarely, if ever, needed). Additionally, our international partners are in your time zone and will assist you with proof-of-concepts, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. Support is free for every subscription tier and for the first year of a perpetual license.
5-year fixed price
Whether you start with a 1-year subscription or a 5-year subscription, your price will not increase during that 5-year period. An option for unlimited use, available upfront but discounted, is also available.
What else do you need to know?
Voracity probably includes more than you think. Basic version Add-on components cost extra, as do the sales and services from IRI resellers and authorized Voracity experts.
The Voracity Frontend, the IRI Workbench, is a free graphical IDE based on Eclipse. Distribute it within your company to promote data collection, collaborative solution design, and metadata sharing. A freemium version of Voracity currently under development will handle many tasks in smaller data environments.
